4. Do breast implants increase breast cancer?

A. No, breast implants don’t increase risk of breast cancer. However, breast cancer  screening by mammography is the same for all women whether they have breast implants or not

5. Do breast cancer patients only have 5 years survive?

A. Not exactly, patients who have breast cancer and completed treatment have a chance of higher recurrent or metastasis in first 2 years but after 3 years a chance      is much lower. However, early breast cancer is highly curable.
 
6. If I’ve got breast cancer of one side, have I get it at the other?

A. The one who has breast cancer will take risk of 5% more than other women to be    breast cancer in other side.
 
7. Do every lumps need surgery?

A. No, in case of benign breast lump, need surgery if the size of mass more than 2     cm. (or maybe less than this, up to size of breasts) but if it is cancer, It need surgery     in every case.
 
8. Does the cancer be back if I had BCT?

A. No, BCT doesn’t increased the rate of recurrent but having breast issue Is a chance of cancer
 
9. Do breast implants increase breast cancer?

A. No. The surgery is the way to take the burden of cancer out.
 
10. Can men get breast cancer?

A. Yes, although it is much rare than women (less than 1% of all cases of breast   cancer)

Breast cancer in both men and women is the same condition where malignant    tumor develop that can metastasis to the lymph nodes and other parts of the body.

They can also develop lumps that are not cancerous, that’ve called gynaecomastia. If  you have a lump, you need to go to your physician.

A. Yes, but very rare. It’s up to the kind of cyst.

A. No, every woman has a chance of breast cancer. Breast cancer risk factors

  • Family history, Approximately 5 % of breast cancer increased in families where are close relatives have been diagnosed or died from breast cancer.
  • Having long time of estrogen preserves risk increase
    • Early menstrual periods (before age of 12)
    • Lately menstrual periods (after age 55)
    • On hormonal replacement
    • Taking contraceptive pill
    • High dose hormonal use for pregnancy
    • No child or has after age of 36 , No breast feeding
  • Other factors.
    • Obesity especially after
      meno pause
    • High fat diet
